Technical Sales -

Summary Description Responsible for actively driving and managing domestic and international sales for Vapor Tech thin film coating systems. Research, identify and pursue sales opportunities. Must be able to understand and articulate technology and product benefits to both business and technical users. Establish and maintain strong customer relationships.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with guidance from management to research and identify opportunities for sales of Vapor Tech coating systems
  • Establish and develop long-term relationships with coating system equipment customers
  • Identify, analyze and document customer needs and requirements
  • Develop and maintain a detailed customer database that includes customer business structure, contacts, competitors, product sales and opportunities.
  • Responsible for tracking projects and managing the project quoting process
  • Work with Vapor Tech management, R&D and Engineering staffs to address and resolve customer requirements

Essential Qualifications and Skills

  • Candidate must be a self-motivated team player with a proven track record in technical sales and a strong knowledge of technical and scientific products, including the functions and components that enable the products to work
  • Must be articulate, possess strong presentation skills and be able to communicate professionally in written responses to emails, RFPs and reports
  • Must be analytical, organized and able to formulate strategies to address sales opportunities
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related science field is preferred
  • Minimum of 3-5 years in technical product sales
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering results
  • Experience with business application software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project
  • Moderate travel required
